Three rental companies join forces

The owners of Utleiesenteret AS in Drammen, Høydespesialisten AS in Oslo and Akershus Utleie AS at Gardermoen are merging their operations into one group together with the investors Terje Stykket and Rune Isachsen. Stratema has assisted the owners of the rental companies in the process.

The three companies have more than 100 employees. Total turnover in 2015 was approximately 230 million NOK with an operating profit of 40 million NOK. In 2016 sales is expected to exceed 300 million NOK.

Investor Terje Stykket, through the company Stykket Invest AS, and Rune Isachsen, through Rune Isachsen Holding AS has acquired a 51 percent stake in the rental companies. Existing owners Lasse Kjøsterud, Vibeke Fredriksen, Alfred Bakken, Ole Blakisrud and Tommy Jensen adds up to 49% of the ownership in the new holding company that will own the 3 rental companies.

STRONG COMPANIES
All three companies have a good reputation and key market positions in machinery and equipment rental to the construction industry in Eastern part of Norway. The entrepreneurs are joining the further ownership to ensure continuity and the exploitation of synergies between the businesses.

Combined we will gain a much more efficient utilization of our machinery and customers will get a more complete offer with regard to materials, service and geographic coverage, says entrepreneur behind Utleiesenteret AS in Drammen, Lasse Kjøsterud.

STRONG GROWTH
Investor and entrepreneur Rune Isachsen, who has a broad and extensive experience as a customer of the rental industry services, strongly believe in both the industry and the new group.

– These are very solid and well-managed companies within rental of machinery and equipment, an industry that has a huge growth potential. Significant infrastructure development projects will be carried out in the region the years to come. The plants get bigger, requiring specialized equipment. Now we are five entrepreneurs who will gather momentum, strengthen us in the market and take the companies and the industry further, says Isachsen.

– The companies will slowly merge ther operations to ensure the continuation of the entrepreneurial spirit and the non- bureaucratic culture that characterize companies today. The specialization of the companies is to be continued while the overall business is developed, says Rune Isachsen adding that the group will be purchasing more new equipment and increasing the workforce in the future.
