An owner group comprising Melesio Capital AS, the investor Knut Øversjøen and entrepreneurs/other owners of Sans Bygg has acquired a stake in Oslo Tapet og Gulvbelegg AS.
Oslo Tapet og Gulvbelegg, which was established by entrepreneurs Thomas Nataas and Franco Grosso in 1997, is a specialised flooring firm serving the Norwegian corporate market. The company has over time succeeded as a quality-conscious and focused provider of flooring for property owners and contractors, and has established a strong market position in Norway.
The company registered a turnover of NOK 120 million in 2018. In order to ensure continued controlled and strong growth, the entrepreneurs have chosen to invite external owners to acquire a stake and contribute complementary expertise on strategy/business development, business systems and financing.
The owner group which has acquired an ownership stake has been focusing, amongst other things, on the acquisition of niche companies in the construction industry. The group has previously invested in Sans Bygg, which specialises in modernising wet rooms/bathrooms for Norwegian housing companies. The group has acquired an electric installation company in the same niche as a supplementary investment. Oslo Tapet og Gulvbelegg will be a new niche for the investor group, but there are customer and systems synergies with their existing operations under the Sans Bygg umbrella. The intention is to integrate the operations of Sans Bygg and Oslo Tapet og Gulvbelegg, both operationally and in terms of ownership.
Stratema assisted the owners of Oslo Tapet og Gulvbelegg in this process.
