We are really excited about the acquisition of Karl Knudsen AS, a first-rate consultancy firm that is a perfect fit for our strategy. Its geographical focus offers us a unique opportunity to strengthen our position in this region. We are in the midst of an energy transition for many of our customers, and bringing Karl Knudsen onboard will make us even more of a full-service provider, says Petter Arnesen, CEO of Rejlers AS.
Karl Knudsen is the fourth acquisition Stratema has assisted Rejlers with, and brings Rejlers closer to realising its Norwegian market growth ambitions. Teaming up with Karl Knudsen provides Rejlers with access to a new region, local customers and new areas of expertise that complement Rejlers well. Karl Knudsen will gain access to about 200 new employees in Norway, with extensive experience and expertise across technical disciplines. Moreover, it will be able to draw on systems, employees and experience throughout the Rejlers Group. A key focus for Stratema during this process has been that the two firms are an excellent fit in terms of their corporate culture and their approach to doing business. This constitutes a robust foundation and harbours well for their shared future development.
Karl Knudsen has a long pedigree in Trondheim, where it was founded in 1966. The firm has established an enviable position in the region, with a successful track record of working closely with the major regional contractors, developers and investors. It recorded revenues of about NOK 45 million in 2022, with high profitability. With this acquisition, Rejlers Norway has over 200 employees and total revenues of NOK 360 million.
