Aktiv Bygg has sold 100% of its shares and reinvested a significant portion of the proceeds in the Vokstr Group. This strategic transaction reflects shared values, complementary expertise, and a joint ambition to develop the Norwegian refurbishment market.

As part of the Vokstr Group, Aktiv Bygg will retain its brand, culture and operational independence, while gaining access to broader systems, capabilities and a larger network. Following the acquisition, the Vokstr Group will generate revenues of NOK 2.6 billion – mainly from professional refurbishment projects in the commercial property segment.

A well-established player with a strong culture

Founded in 2000, Aktiv Bygg has become a trusted partner for refurbishment projects in the Greater Oslo region. The company specialises in office, retail and industrial renovations, and has built a solid reputation for quality, long-term relationships and reliable execution. With 51 employees and revenues exceeding NOK 500 million in 2024, Aktiv Bygg operates with strong profitability.

Commenting on the transaction, CEO Ronny Horni says:
“Aktiv Bygg has had a solid journey over 25 years as an independent company, but the time is right to become part of something bigger. Vokstr’s values resonate strongly with ours, and we have great confidence in this partnership. Their entrepreneurial background has been particularly important to us throughout the process.”

“Being part of Vokstr will allow us to strengthen both capacity and expertise, while preserving our culture and identity. This positions us well for the future,” adds Project Manager and co-owner Bjørn Ole Inglingstad.

Strategic growth at Vokstr

This is Vokstr’s third acquisition so far in 2025. The group now consists of eight companies and around 530 employees. CEO Markus Stellander comments:
“We’re proud to welcome one of Norway’s most reputable specialist contractors. Aktiv Bygg brings deep expertise, strong values and a culture that fits perfectly into Vokstr. This acquisition supports our ambition to become the leading player in the Norwegian refurbishment market.”

The transaction is subject to approval by the Norwegian Competition Authority. Wikborg Rein acted as legal advisor to the sellers, and Stratema advised the owners of Aktiv Bygg.
