Driven by a passion for corporate finance and law, Mats is currently in his final year at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo. He began his legal studies in 2018, and his growing interest in finance led him to also pursue a Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Copenhagen Business School concurrently.

In addition to his dual academic pursuits, Mats has gained substantial practical experience through internships in Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). His professional journey includes a role as a junior analyst at Omera Consulting, where he contributed to the successful merger of two creative consulting firms. His responsibilities encompassed commercial due diligence, synergy calculations, and new company structuring. He has also performed several valuations of potential investment cases and participated in financial due diligence for a buy-side acquisition. Mats has worked closely with executive management, developing strategies for tech companies across diverse sectors such as maritime software, Pro Audio, and MedTech.

Mats will be a researcher in the M&A Tech team at the Stratemas Oslo office until spring 2025, where he can fully blend his passions for M&A and technology. In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time at the families seaside cabin. During the winter, you’ll often find him on the ski slopes, where he’s known for his graceful telemark turns down the hills.
