After a series of meetings in which Itum showed its potential as a valuable partner for Braathe, Stratema facilitated an introduction between the two entities, followed by a seamless M&A process.
Itum’s acquisition is a strategic move that supports Braathe’s NOK 500 million revenue target and strengthens its position in the Telemark region. Furthermore, Itum brings with it a portfolio of attractive clients, including municipalities and hydropower companies.
Both Itum and Braathe Gruppen have long been providers of cloud and IT services to the corporate market. The companies offer both overlapping and complementary service portfolios, which will benefit the customers of both companies.
Stratema has advised Braathe on market positioning and product portfolio strategy, as well as funding of its M&A agenda, in addition to devising a comprehensive buy-and-build strategy designed to accelerate growth and expansion.
“We have an ambition of positioning ourselves as one of the leading providers of user and infrastructure services in Norway. By welcoming Itum and its expertise, we will be able to further increase our footprint, while bolstering our offering and position in the Norwegian managed service market.”
Tron Braathe, CEO of Braathe Gruppen.
