“I worked at EY and KWC before joining Stratema, primarily focusing on valuations and due diligence. I had a strong technical foundation, but what I was missing was the bigger picture. I wanted to be involved from the initial idea through to a completed transaction, rather than contributing to only parts of the process. It can take a long time, but I have a marathon mindset, so that doesn’t bother me.
When I joined, I had a very positive first impression. The team was highly specialised, people had deep expertise within their sectors, and I liked the idea of becoming genuinely strong in one particular area. The tech sector is a perfect fit for me. There is so much happening, and the industry is constantly evolving. Everything happening around AI and in the broader market is highly relevant to what we do. It is never boring.
The biggest transition for me was getting up to speed on the market. I had a strong foundation from my background in analysis and financial modelling, but developing that market understanding took some time. What helps enormously is how easy it is to ask questions at Stratema. There are ten of us on my team, and you can always ask questions, regardless of seniority.

You get up to speed faster than you might think. If you are considering Stratema as your next workplace, you should not be discouraged if you do not already know the market.
I recently moved from an analyst position into a project lead role, and that was something I actively pushed for myself. I really value that, because you are given trust here. If you are clear about what you want, people listen. There is no fixed career ladder – you have a real say in your own development. You decide how quickly you want to progress.
What I enjoy most about the job is the variety. New clients, new challenges, and no two projects are the same. I get to know our clients and understand what they need, and an important part of the job is reading them correctly from the very first meeting. Getting the right information from the outset is critical to the entire process.
The culture here is something I do not take for granted. Our industry can sometimes be quite competitive, but that is not how I experience Stratema. We are a close-knit team where you do not really think about who holds which title. Everyone has lunch together, and we have two team gatherings each year. It creates a different kind of cohesion.
If you are eager to learn and want to be involved throughout the entire transaction process, this is the perfect place. You gradually take on more responsibility, you are included from day one, and you decide how quickly you want to grow.”
