Purity has delivered robust growth, propelled by its backup-as-a-service (BaaS) offering hosted in its proprietary data centre. With the recent expansion of its customer base in Sweden, Stratema presented Purity with an opportunity to leverage its current position by using Sweden as a launchpad for further growth. To enable scaling internationally, Stratema suggested a partner with a global customer network. Dustin, which boasts an international presence and a keen interest in broadening its managed service portfolio, emerged as an ideal partner. This strategic acquisition allows Purity to extend its reach beyond national borders, while Dustin expands its suite of services with the inclusion of BaaS and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS).
Dustin’s acquisition of Purity complements previous acquisitions and adds further expertise to the company. In addition to cloud-based solutions, Purity provides hardware storage solutions, which will strengthen Dustin’s position in the Norwegian market.
“Our strength is in the upper SME segment, but we recognise that our solutions also fit smaller companies. As part of Dustin, our access to these customers extends throughout the Nordics. In addition, we can complement Dustin’s offering to large companies and the public sector.”
Lars Olav Habberstad, CEO and founder of Purity IT.
“With Purity IT, we will strengthen our offering within advanced products and solutions, such as Disaster Recovery as a Service. Furthermore, we will be welcoming a highly qualified team with strong storage and backup expertise.”
Jens Haviken, VP Service & Solutions at Dustin.
Purity provides managed services to SMEs from its office in Arendal, Norway. Purity reported revenues of approximately NOK 80 million for its 2015 financial year, and has 27 employees at its Oslo office.
Dustin is a major player in the Nordic managed services market.
